Fiber Festival 2013 Allegan Michigan Aug 16-18

I am new to Michigan and I love yarn.  I went to the fiber festival and loved it:)  Thank you Lori Hornshaw and Suzanne for taking the time out of your busy schedules to take me.  I enjoyed both days.

I have fallen in love with a new yarn by CJKopec creations.  She has a wonderful fingering weight yarn that reminds me a lot of Blue Ridge yarns.  You can find her here:  http://www.etsy.com/shop/cjkopeccreations

I also am going to try lace knitting this winter and I purchased a very soft rich green lace yarn from Miss Babs at the show.  Miss Babs has her own website that you can purchase her yarns here:  http://www.missbabs.com/

I hope you are enjoying your last days of summer and collecting yarn to knit up and enjoy this winter.  Be blessed and be a blessing, Amy

Yarn Yarn and more Yarn

In an already busy world of mine I have decided to add to it the ever doing of blogging.  My passion for yarn is as lustful as my passion for crazier things....but that is another subject with another blog.  :D
I love yarn and want to share things that I have found in the last several months.  My new favorite yarn is Sol Degrade by Lang Yarns.  It is a very soft and stretchy type of cotton that is similar to the fiber of a t-shirt.  It comes in some fantastic colors for everyone.  It is a worsted weight yarn.

The next yarn I came across this past spring is by the Blue Ridge Yarns called Footprints.  OH MY love this yarn!!! It comes with 3 to 4 skeins in different colors.  I absolutely love it.  Can't beat it.  For the yardage it is well worth the price.  This yarn is fingering weight.

The other yarn that I fell for this year is Island Yarn Company's Combo Fibers.  These are skeins made from multiple scraps of different yarns.  I had a lot of fun making their Island Hat.

So I am off to do some knitting.  :)  Happy Days are here again!!!!  Be Blessed:)
